ahead of schedule
November 4, 2009
Maybe the hard part is still to come (I am certain of it), but in the meantime I’m enjoying that ever since the first day, I’ve been ahead of schedule. Somehow it isn’t hard to come up with the 1600 words each day. Maybe it’s because I’m writing something autobiographic, so it’s a bit like writing a journal. But still, it surprises me.
Caffeine and sugar part is succesful as well, but I’m still struggling with the throwing away and being creative part. Mostly because I’ve had long days at work, and there isn’t that much time in between work, sleep, resting and writing. Well, maybe I should just accept that that is what November is all about. We’ll see.
two days
November 2, 2009
and I’ve managed to write 3700 words (only 1350 today, but I made up for that in advance yesterday – and today was a horrible day, so it was quite an achievement).
I’ve had no caffeine, and just had sugar in the pancakes I baked yesterday (because it was some ready to bake mix my mum had bought, and well, I had denied myself much that day). I did have a major headache today though, maybe connected to the caffeine?
Even though I was at the train station four times today, where I’m always tempted to buy something (anything) I didn’t buy a thing (even while I was hungry and needed something to read. Yes, needed.)
The creating thing hasn’t really geared up – trying to find a way to do that. Yesterday I baked scones, that was creative, I guess. I’ve decided to collect the stuff I’m planning on throwing away, and hold a throwing away party on the last day of November.
Time for bed (well, actually, that was two hours ago already, blah).

During an extreme tidying-up session, I deleted some old blogs, including one with my St Petersburg pictures, and because they are so pretty, here are some of my favourites.
november pledges
November 1, 2009
november has turned out the month of month where it concerns projects. Because this month, I will:”
-write 50,000 words of fiction (nanowrimo!)
-buy nothing (i.e. only real necessities)
-eat nothing that contains sugar or caffeine
-create (draw, sew, etc) something everyday
-throw something away everyday
-forget I have a facebook account (cuz facebook’s evil).
Oh, and there’s one big break from all these commitments, and that is four days somewhere in the middle of November, when I’ll be going to Berlin!
Right, very curious how I will do on these. Now, back to those 50,000 words of fiction, because unfortunately, this doesn’t count for that.

15 days

is about how long it lasted. Maybe I should consider two-week projects rather than monthly ones.
Listening on and on and on and on: . So much fun.
New project: started doing Morning Pages. Excited about it, really.
Also: took long walk through the woods this morning. Pictures will follow soon, hopefully. And: am gonna pick a new lay-out for my blog once again.

ignore the content, please. Isn’t ‘brainstorm’ a brilliant word, by the way?
